DANNY & THE CHAMPS return to Leeds
10th March, 2014

Having had a good relationship with Danny George Wilson over the years we are delighted to bring you this show.

DANNY & THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD

The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
Monday 13th October 2014
Tickets £10 advance available from Jumbo Records and Crash Records

This announcement comes right on the heels of their sold out show at London’s Jazz Cafe last Thursday (6th March).

Danny and his band have been lauded as one of the bands of 2013. High prase has been heaped on them by the bucketload and its justified. One half of Hee Haw saw them perform in Dublin in November 2013 and they blew the roof off the place with their blissful brand of Mowtown soul driven Americana.

Simone Felice….our Brother
17th February, 2014

We have been reminiscing here at Hee Haw HQ about all the times we have worked with Mr Simone Felice. We count 11 shows to date in various venues/cities. And that’s only the show’s we have put on, there are countless others which we have attended as punters in both the UK and Ireland.

We commissioned Mocha TV to shoot the following video in Liverpool while we were on a UK tour with Simone back in April 2011. We agree with Simone’s own words, we are family.

In addition, here is a video of his performance of “Don’t Wake The Scarecrow” on that same tour at The Cluny, Newcastle back in April 2011 (film produced and edited by Leafhouse).

See y’all at SHOW NUMBER 12: The Brudenell Social Club – Thurs 3rd April 2014.

Simone Felice returns to Leeds
13th January, 2014

We are delighted to announce that our beloved songwriter Simone Felice is hitting the road this Spring in support of his brand new album Strangers. Set for release through Team Love Records in the UK on March 24th, his new full-length album is a ten song collection recorded in the Catskills with guest artists The Felice Brothers, Leah Siegel, and Wesley Schultz & Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers. Here is an effort that truly captures Simone’s rare gift as a poet, song-crafter and unique visionary.

Strangers first single “Molly-O!” was greeted to much fanfare at the end of 2013, featuring as it does the additional vocal talents of Wesley Schultz & Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers. Free download of Molly-O! HERE.

Where: The Brudenell Social Club
When: Thursday 3rd April
Tickets: On sale Friday 17th Jan at 9am from Jumbo Records, Crash Records, See Tickets, WeGotTickets.

Simone Felice is a founding member (lyricist, vocalist, drummer and guitarist) of internationally acclaimed, Catskill Mountain-based artists The Felice Brothers and The Duke & The King. He has toured and worked with the likes as The Band’s Levon Helm, Conor Oberst & Bright Eyes, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Rick Rubin, The Avett Brothers, and Old Crow Medicine Show.

“Each song somehow sounds like a classic, each live performance suggesting we are in the presence of a rare, fiery brilliance.” – Guardian

“Often times the word ‘poet’ is casually assigned to a songwriter, and all too often it is not true. Simone Felice is a poet to the core.” – Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers

“The most unique person I know in the world, incredible charisma. He sees things in a way that nobody else sees them, which is why his music is beautiful.” – Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons

Merry Christmas y’all
24th December, 2013

Thanks for your support this past year. It has been a special one which has seen us work with a couple of our most favorite artists (Glen Hansard and Lambchop) as well as welcoming back past favorites. Curating the stage at Long Division festival. Setting up Hee Haw Records and watching Dead Flowers flourish. What a year! Here’s to sharing more of the same with y’all in 2014. Be safe, stay warm and may your tummies be filled with brandy and selection boxes during the festive season.

One of our very favorite Christmas songs HERE.

The lovely Lambchop!
27th June, 2013

Monday night’s show with Lambchop was quite possibly the best event we have had the pleasure to work on. From the moment they arrived at Brudenell Social Club in the afternoon till the moment we parted company in the wee hours of Tuesday morning was a truly wonderful experience. Our support act Dead Flowers should be very proud of themselves, epically considering Lambchop themselves thought they were something special. Thanks everyone who came along to the show, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
